    Default Question about grammar

    Hello to everyone

    I have the following question

Why do you took a sheet from my folder?

The context: At the office a guy opens the desk of a colleague and then he takes a sheet from a plastic folder. The colleagues notices that action and faces the guy.

    Best Regards, and thanks!

Please give your threads better titles. Almost everyone has a question about grammar.

    Why did you take..
    Why did you took...
    A sheet from my folder

All of those would be okay.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Are you sure, Barb?

    As correct grammar, no.

    As a thread title, yes.
It was based on his original sentence.

My comment was in reference to how to title the thread, since the question itself was answered.

Ah, sorry. I separated the three sentences and the okay part from the advice about the thread title! Oops.
