Shakespeare has written/ wrote several plays

    1. Shakespeare has written several plays.
    2. Shakespeare wrote several plays.
    3. My brother has written several plays.
    4. My brother wrote several plays.

    I wonder which are grammatical.

    Thanks.

They are all grammatical, but it is unlikely that Shakespeare will write more plays, so I would eliminate #1. Hopefully the same is not true of your brother.
