    one word for deaf and dumb person

    I wish to know a new word describing in one word "one who is deaf, dumb but can only see and keeps quiet"

    The only possibility is deaf-mute, but I have to warn you that many object to these types of labels these days.

    one word

    A new one word is available to describe a person who is deaf and dumb and cannot explain what he sees.
