In the story "An Ounce of Cure" the main character's behavior after being rejected strikes me as a typical teenager. The narrator, main character herself mentions " I am sure it was the first time anybody had ever kissed me, and I know I did not wash my face that night or the next morning" (313). The young teen had received a memorable kiss, falls in love after the joyful incident and weeps for him with an emotional bruise on her heart, becomes severly depressed and tries committing suicide. All of that showing how teenagers nowadays exaggerates, making a mountain out of a molehill of her actions.
