I am pleased to inform you that I received my Masters of Science degree in Chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University last year. I look forward to applying my newly acquired knowledge to my job.

Because I only recently received my provisional certificate, I was unable to update my qualifications until now. I have enclosed a photocopy of my certificate. Please update the records to refelct my degree. Thank you.

    Yours truly,

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
