    whichever/whatever doctor

    Are both these sentences correct:

1-There are four doctors in your neighborhood. You can go to whichever doctor you want to.

2-Whatever doctor I have met has been nice to me.

    I think they both work.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

    2. is wrong. "All the doctors I've met have been nice to me."; "Whenever I've met a doctor, they've been nice to me." (Singular 'they')

    Re: whichever/whatever doctor

Thank you very much Raymott for all your kind replies.

Can one ever use "whatever" for people?

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

Never say never. But there's always a better alternative.
