    Indeed/really

    do "indeed" and "really"mean the same thing? Or are there any differences?

    If used as a response to something said, they can both have the meaning 'are you sure?', but they cannot be used in the same way much of the time:

    It was really good = very
    It was, indeed, good = in fact
