Hi,

I have this sentence:

"Don't be taken ...... by her apparent shyness."
I have to put something instead of the dots.

The choices are these:
a) out on b) off c) out d) in e) with

This is really confusing :-? I'd say it's either "off" or "out", but I have never heard these words used in this context and can't find the answer in any dictionaries :(

Help, please?

If you are taken in by something/someone, you are fooled/deceived.

Don't worry about that. It is often impossible for learners to guess the meanings of phrasal verbs. You either know them or you don't. You happen not to have come across that one before.
