    1. did you go out?
    2. had you went out?

    [1] Did you go out? <Simple Past>
    [2] Had you gone out before I called? <Past Perfect>

    The verb to go: present go, past went, participle gone

    Note, use the participle with the Perfect, like this, has gone, have gone, had gone.
