Does only "Are you learning " work here? Not "Do you learn"? The difference taught here in this example is that the latter, present progressive is about the recent or right now activity, while the present is for a long time?
44.a2)A: (pointing to a guitar) (Do you learn, Are you learning ) to play the guitar?
B: Oh,no. a friend of mine left that guitar here.
