    Default Floor it!

If I want someone to speed (he is driving a car), can I say floor it?

Yes. Or to use a little rhyme "put the pedal to the metal."

Of course, you might also have to say "Don't worry - I'll pay for your speeding ticket if you get one."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
