    I was about to jump in and go all MBA on this, and then I realized bhai's question was a much better response.

    Zoe, we're not being lazy or mean when we answer this way. It's important that you try to pick up meaning from context. While both "market" and "demand" have many meanings, "market demand" together, and no doubt in the context of a business discussion, should be pretty clear.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
