    Roots

How could I find its Latin Root for these words?
    1. departure
    2. accession
    3. abortifacient
    4. recuperate
    5. deliquescent

is there a way i can tell just by looking at these words?

    Re: Roots

This dictionary (an old version of Websters) gives the origin and traces the word's development: http://machaut.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/...sh?word=Depart
Without knowing Latin, it's hard or impossible to get the exact form, but you can usually spot words that come from it.
