1. what is the genre of the text below?
2. what is the social purpose of genre of the above text?
3. Can you tell me the register analysis of the above text-- field, tenor , and mode, and also give the linguistic evidence
Thanks A lot to all who help me!!!!

1Many people believe that life should be enjoyable. Since ancient times, human beings have made an effort to get what they want. For example, they invented cars so that they can do lots of things in a short time. However, cars use fossil fuels and that is a bad thing.
2 I think cars are overused in the world. In every city it can be seen that millions of cars are being used. Besides the cost is very expensive, the combustion of their engines emit carbon dioxide. This is a pollutant. In addition, their pollution will cause another complicated problem. Itís a fact that by using a car people can easily travel everywhere when they want. Because they are safer in a car than travelling by bicycle. However if I think ecologically, using a car poisons the atmosphere and the earth.
3 So, people should look for alternative transportation. Like the bicycle. This transportation is very cheap. In addition you get extra exercise by using a bicycle. Furthermore, bicycles will not cause pollution. So the continuation of living creatures is guaranteed. Another positive thing is that bicycles can be repaired when they get damaged. So we can keep them for a long time.
4 Although if it is rainy or hot, people can use jackets or hats to protect them. Therefore, using a bicycle has far more advantages than using a car.

I think:
Genre-exposition
Field
-Conserving energy(social activity)
-Overuse of cars (topic)
Tenor
-Relative status (ameture writer+conscious citizen)
feeling towards eachother (neutral as writer addressing unknown audience)
feeling towards topic discussed (writer has interest in in)
Mode
written- writer and reader not face to face

In Register, you could include the degree of formalitiy of the lnaguge- it stirkes me as semi-formal; it use some contractions and 'so' as a connector, but it generally failry organised and structured.

I agree that the writer doesn't have the flow- I don't think the writer is a native speaker. In paragraph 2, they use 'besides' incorrectly, which sounds like a non-native speaker to me.

once again thanx for the prompt reply:)

I find the 3rd phrase in the 1st para ambigious too. in my opinion the writer moves between formal and informal mode.
what areas of language could i focus on to develop a better control of english in this scenario?
i mean what in your opinion are the main problems with the writer?
thanx

The writer is not that advanced a user of the language, though they don't make many mistakes. If you look at the first paragrapraph, the sentences are not really connected in terms of language, though there is a flow of thought. This lack of language connection suggests that this is not a native speaker to me, and do that many native speakers use terms like 'since ancient times'. Also, some of the statements are a bit sweeping, like saying that fossil fuels are 'bad', without any qualification. Points are underdeveloped.

Thanx:)
I also find the feel that there is an abrupt end to the way this text ends.

What would be the ways forward for this writer to develop?
I was thinkinging on the lines of probable a writing frame whith specific questions!!! not sure though...
what would you suggest?
thanks

Better connection of idea:

Many people believe that life should be enjoyable. This can be seen in the way people have tried throughout history to get what they want
