Default No longer seeing "Edited by ..."

I just noticed that after editing our own or someone else's post, we no longer get the line at the bottom saying "Edited by emsr2d2. Reason: typo".

Permanently gone or can it be reinstated? I really hope it can.

I think that is because you edited posts that were just created. I just tried and it worked well.
I learn something almost every day on this site.

Edits made within a few minutes of posting don't get the line- I think it's a quarter of an hour. It allows you to deal with typos, etc, discreetly if you're a culmsy writer.

I am one of the culmsiest writers around, so I value this.

It's a welcome chance to get rid of typos and add words I missed like not that affect the meaning of a post without anyone seeing.

Hmm, I had been seeing it instantly on my edits until yesterday. But no issue - if it's now in line with everyone else, I'm happy! Thanks for the info.

It has always depended on the time of the post for me.
