    Question As well as

Hello. What is the detailed meaning of as well as? I have always thought that it means and, but now I am not sure. Yesterday I learned that as well put at the end of a sentence means in addition, although I always thought that it means either. Is it true? I feel little confused.

    Best,
    Nyggus

    Re: As well as

Both are used instead of "in adition" or "and". But when you want to mention something right after the other, you have to use "as well as":

I want to visit Jack as well as Tom.
I want to visit Jack - and Tom as well.
