[Grammar] at the beach & on the beach

Hi,

I'd like to ask what's the difference between "at the beach" and "on the beach". Do the different preposition "at" & "on" make the differences?

A small difference. "At the beach" means in the general vicinity of the beach. "On the beach" means on the sand itself.
