I don't get this sentence of an agreement.

"prior to the division of the balance of the profit of the Company between the Shareholders"


Can you explain this in simple terms?

"The Principal's remuneration shall be paid, prior to the division of the balance of the profit of the Company between the Shareholders."

There is a company that makes a profit.

From the profit they must pay certain expenses first. This leaves a "balance of the profit."

This "balance of the profit" is then divided among all of the shareholders.

This is saying that the Principal must be paid before ("prior to") the profits are divided and sent to the shareholders.
