Hey there,

When people are saying ' there you go.' what do they mean? I just feel like they agree with the person who they are talking with. But not quite sure.

Thanks,

It can be that- what the person has just said confirms or supports their point:

A: John's so annoying.
B: Well, he's never on time.
A: There you go.

It can also be a general affirmation. Here is a real life example I am familiar with. A senior corporate executive was being interviewed by police detectives, not as a suspect but as a witness. He was helpful, and when the police offered to escort him out, he asked if he could leave by a different door, explaining that all the visitors' parking spaces had been full, so he had parked in a space reserved for "visiting senior officers." The detective replied "There you go" affirming both that the visitor was a senior officer and that the parking decision was an appropriate one.

In transactions it's the same in AmE. We also say "here/there you are", an equivalent to "here/there you go."
