    UserName PHenry1026 Deactivated

    Greetings,

I recently joined as a new member with the username PHenry1026 and successfully posted one entry in your Pronunciation and Phonetics Forum.

After replying and supplying the answer to a post listed in the Pronunciation and Phonetics Forum, my account was deviated and the post I entered in Pronunciation and Phonetics Forum deleted.

As far as I am aware, I did not violate any of your policies or rules for posting.

    Percy Henry

    Re: UserName PHenry1026 Deactivated

    Hi Percy,

Sorry you're having trouble. I can find no details about the username you gave (it doesn't exist in our database), and can't see any reason why your post would be removed if you didn't violate our posting guidelines. Do you have a link to the thread you replied to?

    Thanks :)
I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.

This is the original thread: http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/th...tion-of-cu-nao and the username is still in the member list.

    Re: UserName PHenry1026 Deactivated

    Greetings emsr2d2,

It appears that you are very good at tracking down and restoring deleted posts an UserNames with the forum: Would you be kind enough to track down my reply to the following post:

    http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/th...s-this-correct

I would like to re-post my reply since it never appeared after I posted it.

    Thanks Percy

    Re: UserName PHenry1026 Deactivated

Sorry, but I didn't reinstate anything. I simply searched for the username you gave in the Member List and there it was, along with a link to the post I linked to in post #3. I can't see a trace of a reply to the post you mention in post #4 unfortunately. I think you will have to retype your reply.

    Re: UserName PHenry1026 Deactivated

Thanks for clarifying that. I was very sure that once a post or UserName is deleted it can never be recovered. Perhaps it might help if you read my other post (http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/th...-%28deleted%29) immediately below.

I am afraid to retype my reply since in order to answer that post properly I need to include a link to a Text to Speech web site (not my own or an advertisement) that my prompt a moderator to once again delete my UserName and all my posts.

The moderators here are not in the habit of arbitrarily deleting posts and usernames.

It may well be that the response you mention went into moderation if it contained a link to that website. You are a new member and, as such, will be unable to post links to external websites until you have made at least ten posts on the forum. The system is designed to try to weed out advertising spam and trolls at an early stage, which is vital to the smooth running of the forum. For the time being, I suggest you limit your responses to text that does not contain links.
