Date as Adjective

Aside from what most style guides recommend, do you feel that we could drop the comma after the year in a full-date adjective?

Do the following look okay?

The January 6, 2014 meeting was canceled.
no comma after 2014?

The Gary, Indiana rock band had a great debut.
no comma after Indiana?

Paris, France is a great vacation spot.
no comma after France?

Gary, Indiana is my hometown.
no comma after Indiana?

February 6, 1969 is my date of birth.
No comma after 1969?

No, I believe a comma is necessary after all of those. The commas are parenthetical - that is, two commas surround an incidental term.
If that's not the meaning, why bother with any commas? ie. "Gary Indiana is my hometown."
If you're telling Gary that Indiana is your home town, or you are telling Paris that France is a great vacation spot, you can use one comma.
