Can someone help me revise this short answer for college applications?

I recall people telling me I should be a lawyer as far back as when I was seven years old, and how I have a talent in speech. This would remain in the back of my mind for the rest of my life. Conversely, my experience in Mock Trial as well as co-founding the Speech and Debate Club at my school would all but concretely solidify those prospects. After experiencing events, I am genuinely interested.

The question is What are your career goals and how did you develop them?
By the way, there is a 400 character cap on the response.
In case it wasn't already self-evident, and please let me know if it isn't, my chief answer was Lawyer.
