having a building put up

To "put up" means building, if a person is building a house with the help of masons and property developers, will it be correct to say "The man is having the building put up". Have sth done ​also means to get it done by other person and not yourself.

I wouldn't use put up for a building.

OK, If I re frame it this way - "The man is having the building built." Is it grammatical ?

Yes, and you could use something like constructed to avoid the repetition.
