    Hi

What is the meaning of sight!?

The sentence goes "Sigh! There’s so little hope for advancement."?

    Thanks,

A sigh is an audible exhalation of breath. The word is not expressed (said). The writer puts it in so the reader understands what the person/character is feeling. I do not mean of course that nobody ever says the word, but sigh does not sound like sigh.
