    kind & type

    Hi teachers:

    how are you doing?

I have a question that has been bothering me, the question is what 's the difference between "this kind of ..." and " this type of ..." ?
    for example:
    1. "what kind of job do you do?" and,
"what type of job do you do?
    2. " what kind of car do you have?"
" what type of car do you have?"

in advance, thank you for your time and attention.

Thumbs up Re: kind & type

There is no difference, because in most cases the "What kind of/type of" constraction supposes the following noun be without any article and it is should be in the singular form:

What kind of /type of/ car do you have?

    Thanks for asking. Take care.
