hello everyone
I have a huge problem with null constituents, especially with PRO null subject and some sentences like:
(a) It would be nice [TP PRO each [T to] help the other]
(b) It would be nice [TP PRO [T to] each help the other]
Why there is "each other" disconnected? It seems and sounds weird and I have never heard of such word order [each to help the other] / [to each help the other]
and other:
(a) They each had wanted to help the other
(b) They had each wanted to help the other
(c) I expected [them each to help the other]
(d) I expected [them to each help the other]
Thanks a lot for any help!
