    Do you mean can "Catkin" be used as the first name for a person in English? Or are you referring to using it as a screenname?

    Since celebrities have been naming their children things like "Apple" (Gynneth Paltrow) and "Speck Wildhorse" (John Mellencamp), it seems like "anything goes" when it comes to choosing a name. Catkin would be as acceptable as anything else in that case, but no, it's not a traditional name.
