Hi,

Is the following sentence correct grammatically and conceptually?

Is "through" in a proper position following sentences?

*This study presents an entropy generation analysis in isothermal flow through a monoplane wells turbine with the constant chord blades.

Thanks.

Best,

Ali

Hi,

What is your purpose?

In fact, Entropy is generated and also, the flow goes through the turbine and contacts with the blade of turbine, makes entropy generates around the blade.

Now how to write this sentence?

Thanks for your help

Best,

Ali

You don't seem to understand (or be interested in) what bhaisahab has asked you to do twice.

Your member profile shows that you are a native Japanese speaker and that you are currently located in Japan. That does not appear to be true. Please give true information and then we will think about answering your question.

*This study presents an entropy generation analysis [STRIKE]in[/STRIKE] [of?] isothermal flow through a monoplane Wells [?] turbine with[STRIKE] the[/STRIKE] constant chord blades.
That's a guess. I have no idea what it means.
"through" sounds right.

Hi,

Wells turbine is a kind of turbine.

In fact, there is a fluid and and a turbine that entropy is generated by turbine.

In other words, fluid flow goes through the turbine and contacts with the blade of turbine that these make entropy is generated around the blade. Here, fluid flow is a isothermal flow because there is not finite temperature difference( one of irreversibility factors).

Now, Would it be better if the first post'sentence is written like this :

This study analyses the entropy of isothermal flow which is generated by monoplane wells turbine with the constant chord blades.

Thanks,

Best,

Ali

The latest version sounds better.
"Wells" should be capitalized.
"Which is" could be omitted.
There should not be a "the" before "constant chord blades".

not a teacher

No. As I still understand it, you should capitalise Wells (because it's a proper name, and the link you give calls it a Wells turbine). I would also still omit "the" before "constant chord blades".

Also, even though I know nothing about it, I think your original (as corrected) is possibly better. Does the Wells turbine generate the entropy (as your second version suggests)? Or does the isothermal flow generate the entropy, as you original suggests? OK, it's the flow through the turbine that does it, I guess. You'll have to make that choice.

Are there no way that "entropy generation analysis" is wrote in the sentence?

"entropy generation analysis" is a Idiom in mechanical engineering. To this purpose, It is better be in sentence.

The isothermal flow generate the entropy.

Isothermal flow is made to rotate the blades of turbine and Incidence of flow to blades generates entropy around the blade.

Of course. You could my original correction in post #8 in which that phrase is retained.
