Default your path won't lead you home'

"If you're lost and on your own, you can never surrender. And if your path won't lead you home, you can never surrender."
This is from a song 'Never surrender' by Corey Hart.
By the way, what does 'your path won't lead you home' mean?
Things are not going well? Thanks in advance.

It suggests you're heading the wrong way in life to me.
