    Question River bank

    Hello,

    Which is more correct:

    1-They were walking on the bank of the Seine.

    2-They were walking by the bank of the Seine.

    3-They were walking along the bank of the Seine.

    2- they were walking by the bank of seine is the most correct one

    You could use 1 or 3, but three sounds more natural. You will also see the plural (banks) used.
