    seek out

    hi y'll
    which is the right sentence
    does this sentence make any sense to you

    1 while i was in new york i decided to seek out a nice ring for my fiancee
    2 while i was in new york i decided to seek out for a nice ring for my fiancee
    3 while i was in new york i decided to look for a nice ring for my fiancee

    The second sentence is ungrammatical. There are too many prepositions in *seek out for.

    seek out and look for express similar meanings;i.e., actively search for something or someone, but the former, seek out, houses an additional meaning, extended search - the search might take longer.

    Then, "I am looking for the optimal constitions of the process" means exactly the same as "I am searching for the optimal constitions of the process"?
