"How do you like it(like food, city etc)"?

"How did you like it(like food, city etc)"?

"How do you find my country(does it mean what do you feel about my country)"?

"How did you find my country"?

Please check these sentences.

"How do you like it(like food, city etc)"?

It is important to note that this one is in the present tense and that "it" refers to something that has been previously mentioned or referred to in some way. In the case of food, the person might have just taken a bite of something, and when the other person says, "How do you like it?" both understand what is meant.

"How did you like it?" is past tense, and we are talking about something that has already happened -- food that has been eaten, a city that has been visited, etc.

"How do you find my country?" is a way of saying "How do you like it here?"

Is "How did you find my country?" something somebody really said? In any case, I don't see how you can take it literally.

Okay, if something is currently happening like somebody is eating food or wandering in a city or currently indulge in an activity so we can ask him " how do you like it(like city, food or any other thing)?" or if we have just had discussion regarding anything(like a city) then also we can say "how do you like it?"

But if anything has already happened like somebody has already been to New York then we can say "how did you like it?"

Did I get it right?

Okay, if something is currently happening like somebody is eating food or wandering in a city or currently indulges in an activity, [STRIKE]so[/STRIKE] can we [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] ask him "How do you like it (space here)(like the city, food or any other thing)?" or if we have just had a discussion regarding anything (space required here) (like a city) then can we also [STRIKE]we can[/STRIKE] say "How do you like it?"

But if [STRIKE]anything[/STRIKE] something has already happened like somebody has already been to New York then can we [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] say "How did you like it?"

Did I get it right?

Note my corrections above.

- Remember to capitalise the first word of a complete sentence even if it is enclosed in quotation marks.
- Don't put a space after opening quotation marks.
- Put a space before an opening bracket.

Study the difference between "something" and "anything".

Remember that we reverse the subject and verb in a question.

You've been telling tufguy the same thing for years, ems. You have the patience of a saint.

Let's hope you get a 'Thank' when he's next online and no longer in moderation on a trial basis.
