You can ripen apples by putting them in a bowl with bananas.
No- you should be using an adjective. Adjective can be formed from the past participle (third form) of a verb, but that is not the only way to make an adjective.
BTW- do you use a spellcheck, because that would have suggested that the spellings you used were not correct, even if past participles worked as adjectives there.
When Tarheel wrote "Say ...", he didn't mean you had to say it right now! He meant "In future, say this ...". Next time you don't understand something and you need further explanation, use "I don't understand. Could you please explain?"
