Hello,

I googled "synonyms for 'fan.' " Here are some words that I found.

Mona: I am a big fan of that TV show called "The Eight Parts of Speech." Do any of you guys watch it?

Joe: I'm a long-time follower of that show. It's just fascinating.

Betty: Count me in. I've been a devotee of that show since it started five years ago.

Ralph: I am an addict, dudes. I go crazy if I miss just one episode of that show.

Grace: I'm the show's biggest enthusiast.

Joel: Why don't all of us aficionados of that show fly to Hollywood and get tickets to see it in person?

Sometimes certain shows will use part of the show's name as a term for their fans.

For example, hard-core fans of the "Star Trek" series are often called 'Trekkies'.

Other similar show title-based names escape me at the moment, but perhaps others will chime in.

In response to Skrej, I believe that "Whovian" for a Doctor Who fan has some currency.

Some more informal terms for an avid fan include: freak, buff, fiend, nut, among others.
"He's a real Star Wars freak."

"Whovian" is correct for a Doctor Who fanatic.

Good Lord, then perhaps some kind of Companion guide is in order, if you have the time.

A movie-lover is a cinephile. I can't think of a term for a TV-lover.
