What he says is true. He is being truthful.
It is a true descriptionof what happened. The newspaper report is truthful.
The musicians were true to the original music of Beethoven. Their interpretation was truthful.
If I tell you that it is raining here now I am being truthful- I am telling you the truth. The fact that it is raining is true.
