    Question Singular or plural?

    Hi, in the following phrase,
"A method A as well as a method B was applied...,"
is singular form of the verb correct? I think yes, but want to be sure.

    Thanks,
    Nyggus

    Re: Singular or plural?

My sense of this sentence is that Method A is the subject of the sentence (singular) and the phrase as well as method B is parenthetical. Therefore, a singular verb is appropriate.

Why not put commas in to make things clear on the matter?
