    Thumbs down dings??

    What does "dings" mean? I don't find it in any dictionary.

    dings means high pitched sounds produced by bells, for example.

    It depends upon the context. A "ding" can also mean a small dent, such as one on an appliance or your car.

    For example, if someone parks too closely too you, and opens their car door and hits your car, they might leave a little scratch or dent in your car. That would be a "ding."
