Hello. I just wanted to know the exact difference between the words "personal" and "personally". Can one say "Do not take things personal" ?Or is it "Do not take things personally" ? Please help me figure out this term and its usage. It is very important for me to sort this out. Thank you.

"Personal" is an adjective. Examples:
My personal property.
My personal life.
My personal views.
My personal opinion.
"Personally" - adverb.
Personally, I prefer Chinese food.
You may speak to me personally.
