    Please correct

    Hello

    would you please correct the following phrases? Thank you in advance


    1.) "Does your boss still smoe so many cirgars?"
    " No, but he used to."

    a.) has been
    b.) used to
    c.) was
    d.) had


    2.) "Is the vice-chairman going to come to the meeting?"
    "He said he would be here right away."

    a.) he would be here right away
    b.) he would be right away here
    c.) he would right away be here

    3.) "Where is the Sales Manager?"
    "She is being in Chicago since last week."

    1. a - "used to" - something in the past (often habits) which do not happen now.

    2. a - other word orders are incorrect.

    3. b - correct use of present perfect.

    4. c - past simple tense for completed activities.

    5. a - present perfect continuous tense for something which started in the past (with words like since or ago) and is still continuing.

    Thank you for your help. But I don't understand why "used to" in sentence one is incorrect, as he smokes many cigars in the past.

    As Davy already stated, "used to" is correctly used. It expresses a habit in the past. He used to smoke [in the past] but now he does not smoke anymore
