    Talking 194-depend upon

    Hello all

She couldn't be depended upon because of her health problems.

    What does (depended upon) mean?
Does it have the same meaning with (depended on)?

    Thanks in advance

    Matilda

Yes, "depend upon" is the same as "depend on"; just like "based upon" = "based on", etc.

Now, to rephrase the quoted sentence, I'd propose something like this:

"One couldn't rely on her because of her health problems."
