    Question late, later

Quite confident to express that "it is late to do something". However, how could I express that it is more than late? Like in the following circumstance:

A: How about he calling you back at 1 o'clock?
B: No, it is late. It is dinner time here in China.
    A: Or, 4 o'clock?
B: I am afaid that it is quite urgent. What's more it is even LATER. Could you please tell him call me back right after he hangs up on the other line? It will be fine with me.

What I want to express is that one time is late and the second proposal is even "more late". Please correct me, if there is any mistakes more than "It is even LATER".

    Thanks!

    Emily

    Hi, Emily

    I`d say :

    B. I am afraid that it is quite urgent. It might be too late / quite late/ much too late so, please tell him call me back right after...
    or

    B. I am afraid that it is quite urgent. It is too late / It may be late so, please tell him...

    I hope it helps you.

    Regards,
