    Default BUT or BUT FOR?

    Sorry, I made a mistake in my previous mail.
    The sentence i found from the test on our website is

    But his help, I would not have been able to complete the task.

    Is it BUT or BUT FOR in that sentence? I have always believed that it should be BUT FOR in that sentence.
