Question present perfect or simple past

    Hi,

Could someone tell me if the tenses in the following paragraph are correct? I'm worrying especially about the red phrase... There was an author in 1993 who wrote an article about this - and authors still share his opinion (for example: Humble). So, is this possible / correct??

    Thanks a lot.

Historians and literary critics have attached considerable importance to the Book of Household Management: In the 1970s Beeton was known as “the mentor” of the Victorian middle-class housewife. Later her work has been seen as the female equivalent to Samuel Smiles’s Self-Help. Nicola Humble additionally claims that it was “in no small part responsible for the new cult of domesticity that was to play such a major role in mid-Victorian life.”
