    Default aerobatics

a tv presenter talking about a pilot doing his run.

he's got this flying all sorted out. his daytime job is a commecial pilot...

here, i don't understand if the commentator says that the pilot is really flying great now or that in general his flying is good.

    can someone help me, please?:)

sort out means, to put something in order, to organize something. It has nothing to do, really, with how 'he' is flying.

Right. The flying time is sorted out - when he flies.

sort out means clear up/organize, so we need to find out what the pilot has sorted out/organized.

"run" meaning flight schedule, right? OK, and if so, then "he's got this flying all sorted out" means, he has cleared up/organized whatever it was that was stopping him from flying.

    Does that help?
