    I would like to know the difference between 1 and 2.
    1, I must go.
    2, I must be going.

    2. I must be going is more polite than the purely indicitative I must go.

    You could also say, "I should go," or, "I should be going."

    These sentences are less imperative than the ones using must and can be considered even more polite.
