    Language is the means of communication .. once you managed to communicat your thought or idea ... its done .. so dont get confused in such useless things .... but i dont see any reason for [ai] ... schwa is mostly used.

    Well, I guess we've got another BE/AmE clash. In BE, when referring to any one of many possibles, we can stress the "a" and say /ei/.

    Well, you could pronounce it /ei/ if you were referring to a particular Tuesday. At least you would in that sentence, although I am not sure why.

    It is indeed quite interesting how many differences there are between AE and BE. Many of those differences I have learned about by participating as a member of this website.

    It's really interesting - I didn't know there are also such differences between BrE and AmE!

    Anyway, I need to learn the British English for school etc.
