    Default What are kinetic vowel?

    I can't find it anywhere in the book or on the net, has anyone hear of this?

    I haven't met the term, but - depending on context - I would expect it to mean something like diphthongs or triphthongs (vocalic sounds whose production depends on movement of the positions of the tongue and mouth).

    On re-reading, I can see that the parenthesis might seem to be defining "triphthongs". It isn't, of course, it's defining "diphthongs or triphthongs".
