    They're both used, but 'can also' is much more common- there are 3612 examples in the British National Corpus against 54 for 'also can'.

    I use it occasionally, but it is mostly British. For me, Google satisfies 99% of my "does this exist" questions. I also find the BNC to be too small at times to produce meaningful differences in frequency.

    The American Bank of English is under construction. When complete, it would be nice to be able to run the two together to compare.

    Yes, that should be interesting. Do you know what size it will be?

    A hundred million words seems like a lot of words (and it is), but Google now searches over 9 billion pages (with many words per page).
