    See fit

“But now they want her found,” Miller said.
    “They do.”
    “What changed?”
“They didn’t see fit to share that information.”
    “Right.”

I understand that the people, who first didn't care, now want the girl found, but they gave no information why they changed their mind.

“Didn’t see fit” sounds quite denigratory to me in this context, is that so?

How should I interpret it here ?
    - They didn't find it important information?
    - They didn't want us to know?
    - We weren't important enough to know?
    - It was none of our business?
English is not my native tongue, please don’t slap me when something that I wrote sounds wrong.
It makes me crawl into a corner and stay there, in fetus position, for at least a week.

Yes, it's a disparaging comment that they declined to share the reason for the change in attitude.

All of your last 3 choices are valid interpretations, because there's a sense of secrecy with them not sharing the reason they changed their minds.
