Default why we can say 'I waited' but not 'I goed'?

    Hi,

I'm new to the forums and I have a few grammar questions. Firstly can anyone help me understand why we can say 'I waited' but not 'I goed'?

    Thank you.

The past tense of go is went.
    • I go; he goes; she goes; they go; we go; I went; he went; she went; they went; we went; I have gone; he has gone.

You're welcome. Welcome to the forum.

    :D

Have you seen the thread on irregular verbs? Perhaps you have an idea about which word or words I should put up next. Which one do you need to work on the most? Go?

    :)
